Medical vs Vision?

 

Medical plans may cover your regular or well care eye health exams including refractions without the need of utilizing a vision plan. They also are used when we treat sick eyes or unknown causes of visual discomfort, pain or diminished vision. These insurance companies do their own background checks to verify the competence of the doctors on their panel.

Vision plans usually have automatic benefits of exam plus glasses or contact lenses with various coverage levels. Referrals are not required for these services.

Regardless of your coverage, please call our office and have our staff check your benefits for you. They are experienced at handling questions about these benefits and will work with you to insure that you are using your insurance to maximum benefit.

 

Many insurance plans are accepted at our office.  Since there are so many plans and coverage varies widely, please call us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Our staff will verify and explain your benefits before your visit, at no charge. 

 

No Insurance?

 

For patients who have little or no vision insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged. If you have no insurance or do not have vision benefits there is still a way for you to receive the care you need.  To learn more about our payment options, please call our office directly.
